MAPTSS: Minister highlights commitment to staff training

Huambo – Angola’s minister of Public Administration Labour and Social Security (MAPTSS) Teresa Rodrigues Dias Thursday stressed the need for permanent training in different extends and aspects, in what she described as crucial for development.

The minister stressed the importance of the training at the opening of the two-day Fourth Edition of the National Fair of Professional Training and Entrepreneurship (FENAFOP), held in central Huambo province.

She considered training, mainly for young people, the main challenge for the country to have a qualified workforce for socioeconomic development.

The official announced that the State is implementing measures and

policies aimed to promote the importance of man and contribute, decisively, to the transformation of professional training in Angola.

The minister said that the ongoing changes of globalisation, technology, among other realities affecting the life and, especially, in the field of work, calls for the permanent training in order to timely respond to the real needs of the market.

Teresa Rodrigues Dias underlined that the results achieved in terms of professional training in 2022, allow the interaction between young graduates and companies.
