Luanda: The Ministry of Public Administration, Labor, and Social Security (MAPTSS) denied on Wednesday the existence of an online direct financial support program that involves allocating 100,000 kwanzas to disadvantaged individuals.
According to Angola Press News Agency, recent information circulated on social media about a possible financial support program, which purportedly required applicants to register on a specific online page or profile. This program allegedly promised financial deposits via the applicant's cell phone number or bank account and was falsely attributed to the ministerial department.
In a press release sent to ANGOP in Luanda on Wednesday, the ministry urged Angolan citizens to be wary of fraudulent schemes targeting government agencies. It advised the public to rely on official accounts of ministerial departments to avoid falling prey to such scams.
The ministry emphasized that it has several legitimate social support projects aimed at promoting employability, training, professional internships, microcredits, and job kits, all funded by the National Employment Fund (FUNEA). Individuals interested in these opportunities are encouraged to contact employment and vocational training centers across the country or visit the official websites www.inefop.gov.ao and www.funea.gov.ao.
The Ministry of Public Administration, Labor, and Social Security is an Angolan government agency responsible for formulating and implementing policies related to public administration, labor, social security, and social action.
