Luanda: The Media Nova Group is set to hold the 5th edition of the Provincial Business and Connectivity Forum on September 26th and 27th in Uge province. The event aims to highlight the economic potential of the region and promote investment opportunities to drive economic and social development.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Edno Pinto, the general director of R¡dio Mais, announced the forum during the "Contenda Verbal" radio program in Uge. The event is expected to gather businesspeople, entrepreneurs, economic agents, government officials, and investors to share ideas and explore Uge's potential. The forum, which is partnered with the Uge Provincial Government, seeks to promote local development and showcase opportunities in agriculture, tourism, commerce, industry, and mining.
Economist Baptista Banza emphasized the need to raise awareness about the region's potential and attract more investors. He highlighted the importance of expanding the electricity grid, improving access roads, and revitalizing the province's industrial park to process products locally. Banza pointed out that Uge's agricultural, mining, tourism, and industrial sectors are still developing and require significant investment to contribute effectively to the province's growth.
Marcelino Ferreira, director of the Uge Provincial Office for Integrated Economic Development, stated that Uge is open to investors, offering fertile land, dense forests, abundant water, and mining and tourism potential. The Media Nova Group, established in 2008, is a prominent Angolan media company producing and distributing content across newspapers, magazines, radio, and television, including outlets like O Pas and R¡dio Mais.
