Ministry of Finance pays Kz 802.4 million to political parties

Luanda – The Ministry of Finance (Minfin) on Thursday paid an extraordinary expenditure of 802.4 million kwanza to legalized political parties, based on legislation.

In a press release, Minfin said that the payments made amounted to Kz 80.2 million in favour of each political party (MPLA, UNITA, FNLA, PRS, PPA, BD, APN, PALMA, PNSA and PADDA-AP).

Of the 11 registered parties, 10 were validated and effectively paid for, following the sharing of necessary documents requested by the Ministry of Finance.

Of the legalized parties, only the PDP- ANA did not submit the coordinates and pieces for the generation of the payment in the authorized amount.

For the two new political parties, Nationalist Party for Justice in Angola, (P-NJANGO) and Angolan Humanist Party, (PHA), the Ministry of Finance indicates that a similar process of extraordinary budget allocation is underway, based on the assumptions stated.

The Ministry of Finance reaffirms its commitment to carrying out the main financial commitments of the State, obeying the principles of unity, universality, annuality, legality and publicity.
