Luanda: Momedes won the Best Municipality in Angola Award in the Type A municipalities category on Saturday, during the third edition of the initiative, held in Namibe Province. The distinction recognises the performance of the local administration in governance, public service delivery and the promotion of development.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Momedes won five awards in the Type A category, namely Infrastructure and Spatial Planning; Transport, Mobility and Accessibility; Equality and Inclusion; Security and Public Order; and Child-Friendly Municipality.
The event brought together 326 municipalities from across the country, with the winner receiving a prize of 100 million kwanzas.
