Moxico Leste Authorities Support Families Affected by Heavy Rains

Moxico leste: Approximately eighty families affected by heavy rains in the municipality of Lake Dilolo, province of Moxico Leste, received on Wednesday several construction materials to rebuild their homes. On the occasion, the municipal administrator of Luacano, Gabriel Sachamuaha, said that the action is part of a set of measures to support populations affected by natural disasters, reinforcing the spirit of solidarity and closeness between the municipal administration and the citizens.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the official highlighted that this support initiative would be extended to other families who have lost belongings due to the heavy rains. He urged the population to avoid constructing homes in areas considered at risk to safeguard their lives.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude towards the Londuimbali Administration for the support, expressing hope that other societal sectors would emulate this example. The 2024 Results of the General Population and Housing Census (RGPH) reveal that the municipality of Lago Dilolo has a resident population of 40,882 inhabitants.
