MPLA Strengthens Internal Cohesion

Luanda: The ruling MPLA Central Committee is meeting this Thursday in Luanda, under the guidance of the party leader, Joo Lourenço, to analyze its internal affairs and strengthen party cohesion. According to Angola Press News Agency, the 10th ordinary session of the MPLA Central Committee is taking place at the Belas Conference Center (CCB) in the Angolan capital. Among other things, the session will ratify the resolutions from the meeting of its Political Bureau, which occurred on Wednesday at the party's national headquarters. The MPLA Central Committee (CC) serves as the highest deliberative body between congresses, tasked with defining political guidelines, development strategies, internal unity, and preparing party congresses. Its main responsibilities include political planning, grassroots organization, and economic oversight. The MPLA Central Committee comprises 693 members, including 103 members of its Politburo.
