Lubango: The deputy coordinator of the Monitoring Group of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the MPLA in Hula province, Manuel Bangui, has called for the responsible use of social media among party members. Speaking at the closing of the 9th Ordinary Meeting of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Hula, Bangui underscored the need for careful management of digital platforms to uphold the party's image and foster confidence in its internal processes.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Bangui emphasized the dissemination of content that bolsters the image, unity, and cohesion of the MPLA. He expressed disapproval of the misuse of social media for spreading unverified information that could tarnish the party's reputation. He highlighted the necessity for change within organizations as a natural and stabilizing force and advocated for a continuous improvement mindset in evaluating party activities.
Bangui acknowledged Hula's notable contributions to the MPLA's progress but stressed the importance of ongoing political and organizational efforts. He called for enhanced communication with citizens, emphasizing that addressing community concerns is a priority. He urged activists to rely on official MPLA channels for accurate information and verify content before sharing.
Among the initiatives discussed, Bangui highlighted the campaign promoting 72 achievements attributed to the MPLA under the leadership of President Joo Louren§o. Key areas for national development included infrastructure, economic diversification, mobility, logistics, and strengthening the private sector. The State Revitalization Program (PROPRIV) was mentioned as a mechanism to boost private sector participation in the economy.
In infrastructure, he emphasized expanding road and electricity networks, water supply, and necessary equipment for development. He called for improved public services by combining infrastructure development with hiring professionals like doctors and teachers to enhance health and education services. Bangui concluded by urging MPLA militants in Hula to uphold unity, discipline, and responsibility during the current evaluation phase and as the party prepares for future activities.
