National Authority for Prevention of Torture celebrates Palestinian people’s resilience on 10th anniversary

A special tribute to the Palestinian people for their resilience amid the atrocities committed by the Israeli occupying forces is at the heart of the observance by the National Authority for the Prevention of Torture (French: INPT) of its tenth anniversary. This anniversary, the commission said in a statement on Sunday, comes against the backdrop of the flaring up of regional and international tensions fueled by blatant human rights violations and the intensive airstrikes against Gaza since October 7. Thousands were killed, mainly children and women. The authority expressed full and unconditional support for the Palestinian people’s basic right to life and condemned the heinous Zionist crimes against civilians. There is need to sue the perpetrators of these barbaric acts and end impunity, it highlighted. INPT stands in full solidarity with the Palestinian people and offers its heartfelt condolences to the families of those who fell as matyrs. Human rights organisations need to decry the genocide in Gaza and put pressure in order to lift the years-long blockade, the INPT further said.
