Luanda: The Provincial Commander of the National Police (PN) in Uige, Commissioner Ernesto Haiyamunye, has issued a stern warning to officers, urging them to avoid any involvement in illegal mining activities. This warning came during his visit aimed at verifying, monitoring, and assessing the level of readiness of the forces in the municipal command.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Commissioner Haiyamunye emphasized that any officer found engaging in illegal mining or providing cover for those involved will face disciplinary action. He also advised officers to exercise restraint and avoid using force when dealing with suspected criminals. The commissioner highlighted the importance of vigilance in monitoring mineral mining activities in the region and called for a concerted effort to address the issue of overcrowding in passenger vehicles to reduce traffic accidents. Additionally, he urged officers to remain committed to a robust fight against crime.
