Luanda: One person died and seven were seriously injured following a collision between an ambulance carrying a patient and a car in Luanda early Wednesday morning. The accident occurred around 2:20 a.m., and the deceased is a woman in her thirties. The injured men were immediately taken to nearby hospitals.
According to Angola Press News Agency, witnesses at the scene reported that the deceased and three others were traveling in a Chery vehicle that was hit by an ambulance with license plates from the Angolan Armed Forces. The military vehicle was a Toyota Land Cruiser with four occupants, including a patient who was being transferred to a hospital and fractured his lower limbs as a result of the impact. All were seriously injured.
Witnesses confirmed that a pedestrian was also a victim of the collision, which led to temporary loss of consciousness. No one knew the pedestrian's whereabouts afterwards.
