Over Akz 10 Billion Spent on Municipal Intervention Projects in Uige

Uige: At least 12 billion Kwanzas have been invested in the 23 municipalities of Uíge province for the execution of 40 projects included in the Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan (PIIM), the director of Studies, Planning and Statistics (GEPE), Eder Edson Sebastio, told ANGOP on Monday. Sebastio said the projects are for the construction of schools, health centers, road rehabilitation, water supply systems, and other actions that will improve the socio-economic situation of the region's population. According to Angola Press News Agency, the director projected for next year the earthworks for the Kimpa Vita/Casseche road, the construction of a 40-classroom institute in Bungo, the Youth Center and the Media Library, as well as the paving of streets in the Dunga, Quissanga, Mbemba Ngango, Quilomosso, and Kimpa Vita neighborhoods, over a length of 19 kilometers. The projects also include the paving of streets in the neighborhoods of Candombe, Mongoaliema, the Songo/Ana Paula roundabout, Kimpa Vita/Nguengue, and Paco Benze/Sonangol, covering a distance of 23 kilometers. Also planned for 2026 are the paving of the roads Alf Sndega/Alto Cauale (82 kilometers), Macocola/Milunga (36 kilometers), Lukunga/Bembe (52 kilometers), Songo/Lukunga (102 kilometers), among other projects.
