Luanda – Petro de Luanda and 1º de Agosto drew 1-1 on Saturday in the 18th round of the National First Division Football Championship (Girabola2022), thus delaying the race for the competition title.
Petro remain in first position with 48 points, while 1 de Agosto are third with 38 points.
Sagrada Esperança remain in second place with 44 points, thanks to a victory over Desportivo da Huila by 2-0.
Speaking in a post match press conference, Paulo Alexandre, Petro de Luanda coach, said he regretted the performance of the referee, adding that he was confident that his team would win the match if it was not harmed by the referee.
The assistant coach of 1º de Agosto, Filipe Nzanza, in his turn, said the group has met the goal of not losing the match against opponents who have been improving performances especially in free-kicks.
He also said he acknowledges that his team is going through bad moments, in part, due to the delays in salaries, hoping the situation will be solved as soon as possible.
