Luanda – Petro de Luanda lead the National Football Championship “Girabola’2021/2022” with 38 points, thanks to the thrashing imposed on Interclube 4-0, in the 15th round, played on Saturday at the 11 de Novembro Stadium.
After the goalless draw at halftime, Inter club succumbed to the greater offensive power of tricolours side, who scored four goals, interestingly, all through header, by Tiago Azulão (65 and 78 minutes), Pedro Pinto (84′) and Érico (87′).
Petro benefit from the fact that Sagrada Esperança from Lunda Norte, then leaders with 36 pts and now relegated to second place, postponed this round’s game with 1º de Agosto (3rd/30pts), due to works in Dundo’s Stadium.
Despite the defeat, Inter remain in fifth place with 20 points.
For the same round, the last of the first round, Sporting de Benguela drew with Cuando Cubango, at the Ombaka Stadium, by 1-1, and remain in the 16th and last position of the classification, with only two points. The opponent is 12th placed with 15 pts.
