Petro de Luanda win, lead group D of Champions League

Luanda – Angola’s Petro de Luanda this Saturday, in Luanda, beat Wydad of Casablanca, Morroco, by 2-1, in a second-round encounter of Group D of the African Champions Football League, a match held in 11 de Novembro Stadium.

With this victory, Petro lead Group D with four points.

Petro de Luanda gradually increased the pressure over the opponent, taking advantage of being at home, which paid off in the 41st minute of the game, in which the squad managed to open the score.

With the match more even in the second half, the visitors only needed fourteen minutes to equalize the game, through Jalal Daoudi, at 59 minutes.

Galvanized by the public – made up of about 20,000 spectators- the home team started to regain momentum and improving the attack moves.

At 68 minutes, Petro’s striker Yano did what he has been doing well, scored the victory goal, thus guaranteeing Petro’s three points.
