Postgraduate Course in Public Procurement Commences in Luanda

Luanda: The 3rd edition of the postgraduate course in Public Procurement, promoted by the National Institute of Public Administration (ENAPP), began on Monday in Luanda. This program aims to qualify professionals and enhance transparency in public management. According to Angola Press News Agency, Herinelto Casimiro, the administrator for the Research and Extension area of ENAPP, addressed the opening ceremony, highlighting the participation of 150 trainees. He emphasized that this initiative is a commitment by the Angolan State to develop technical skills and foster a critical perspective on the challenges of public procurement, thereby contributing to more efficient and transparent processes. The course comprises a total workload of 240 hours, segmented into various training modules. Participants will engage in face-to-face sessions for two weeks each month, designed to deepen their knowledge and augment their professional skills. Herinelto Casimiro noted that this training initiative aligns with Angola 's strategic needs and the importance of continuous capacity building. He remarked, "Training is an indispensable instrument for any society that intends to evolve. Angola, as a developing country, has invested in strengthening human capital, and this initiative fits precisely into that effort of capacity building and skills enhancement."
