President appoints ANAC’s Board

Luanda – Angolan president João Lourenço Wednesday appointed the Board of Directors of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC), stated the Civil Affairs Office to the President of Republic.

João Lourenço appointed Amélia Cristina de Sousa Domingues Kuvíngua as the chairperson of ANAC Board of Directors.

Other members include Neusa Nicole Pires Lopes administrator for the Regulation Area, Rebeca Carlos Manuel administrator for the Finance Area.

The president also named Manuel Maria Dantas Chagas Gonçalves administrator for the Operations Area, and Emanuel do Sacramento Vieira Candengue administrator for the Security area.

ANAC is tasked with supervising, inspecting and regulating the Transport sub-sector.

The objective is to comply with international obligations, reaffirming the challenges of the national authority in terms of civil aviation and reconsidering the organisational means and powers of the authority in force.
