PRESIDENT DELIVERS STATE OF NATION ADDRESS ON FRIDAY

Luanda – Angolan head of State João Lourenço is expected to deliver the State of the Nation Address on Friday (15) ahead of the Parliamentary year 2021/2022.

The programme for the opening ceremony of the 5th Legislative Session of the IV Legislature was approved (Tuesday) by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly.

The high in the meeting’s agenda will be the message to be conveyed by the President João Lourenço on the State of the Nation and the policies on the resolution of the pressing issues and development of the country, according to the first secretary of the Parliament, Raúl Lima.

The event complies with a legal imperative that began after the entry into force of the Constitution of the Republic, in 2010.

There is great expectation around what President João Lourenço will say about the country’s reality and the Government’s strategy for solving Angola’s main problems.

The Session, which will be attended by the assistants of the Incumbent of Executive Power, will also be marked by the speech of the National Assembly Speaker, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
