President fires National Police chief

Luanda – The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, Monday appointed Arnaldo Manuel Carlos as commander-general of the National Police, replacing Paulo Gaspar de Almeida, who was dismissed today.

According to a statement issued by the President’s Civi House, Arnaldo Manuel Carlos, who was the director-general of the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), was promoted to the post of commissioner-general.
