Luanda – The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this Monday congratulated his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, on his re-election, last Sunday, as President of France.
In the letter, the Angolan Head of State hopes that in this new mandate, Angola and France will materialize, in a practical way, the prospects of bilateral cooperation, with results that favor the progress and prosperity of both peoples.
He states that Emmanuel Macron’s victory reflects the will and firm determination of the French people to maintain France as an important axis in the construction of a united and cohesive Europe, capable of ensuring, especially in these difficult times, the stability and security necessary for the consolidation of the development process.
“On behalf of the Angolan Government and on my own, I congratulate Your Excellency on Your re-election to the post of President of the French Republic, on the 24th of April, reads the letter.
He also wished many successes in carrying out the noble and difficult mission of leading the destinies of France in the coming years.
