Luanda – The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, praised this Saturday the dedication of health professionals, their sacrifices on a daily basis, in the mission to alleviate suffering and save lives.
In a message published on his Twitter account, within the scope of the National Health Worker’s Day, the Angolan President emphasizes that without professionalism and humanistic spirit, it would have been more difficult to face the Covid-19 pandemic and other pathologies.
“The nation is grateful and proud of the health professionals we have”, reads the message.
The 25th of September celebration date was instituted in honour of the Angolan nationalist and physician Américo Boavida.
