President Joo Louren§o Engages in Strategic Talks with Vietnam’s Prime Minister

Luanda: Angolan President Joo Louren§o held a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh, early this afternoon on Monday. During the conversation, the two entities discussed strengthening cooperation relations between Angola and Vietnam, with emphasis on deepening the partnership in various areas of common interest.

According to Angola Press News Agency, cooperation between Angola and Vietnam is based on a deep historical solidarity that dates back to the period of national liberation struggles against colonialism. Over the past decades, the two countries have built a political and diplomatic relationship marked by mutual support and the sharing of experiences of resistance and national reconstruction.

Currently, bilateral relations are celebrating approximately 50 years of official diplomacy and are entering a new phase of strengthened economic, technological, and institutional cooperation. Located in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has an economy focused on the electronics, industrial, and agribusiness sectors.
