Luanda: President Joo Louren§o appointed on Thursday eight new judges to the Supreme Court, the Press Office of the Presidency of the Republic has said. The appointments come as part of an effort to fill vacancies within the nation's highest judicial body.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the newly appointed judges are Armando do Amaral Gugel, Baltazar Irineu da Costa, Cl¡udia Maria Fernandes Domingos, Hermenegildo Os©as, Fernando Cassimbombo, Jos© Sequeira Lopes, Jºlia de F¡tima Leite da Silva Freira, Manuel Pereira da Silva, and TSnia Marisa Araºjo Pereira Br¡s. This decision follows the Superior Council of the Judiciary's plenary approval and ratification of the final evaluation and verification report for the curricular competition to fill eight vacancies for Ministers of the Supreme Court.
