Luanda: The president and Commander-in-Chief of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), Joo Louren§o, awarded Lieutenant General Lus Gabriel Patricio Teixeira 'Cagy' with the Angolan Armed Forces Medal of Valor, 1st Class, by decree on Wednesday.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the award aims to recognize the general officer's exemplary contribution to the national cause and to the enhancement of the Angolan Armed Forces.
With this distinction, Lieutenant General Cagy joins hundreds of FAA personnel who have earned the recognition of the State for their outstanding service to the country.
The FAA Medal of Valor is awarded to military personnel who, in the exercise of their duties, demonstrate courage, dedication, and a high sense of mission in defense of the sovereignty and integrity of the national territory.
