Luanda: President Joo Louren§o, leader of the MPLA, called for enhanced road safety education targeted at young people, citing the increasing number of road accidents involving young drivers. These incidents often result in severe or fatal outcomes.
According to Angola Press News Agency, during the central event celebrating the MPLA's 69th anniversary, Louren§o highlighted that emotional instability and reckless driving are primary contributors to road accidents. He emphasized that the State, families, and society must collaborate to educate young individuals on responsible driving practices.
Louren§o identified the Ministry of the Interior as a crucial player in promoting road safety education. He also cautioned against the risks of young drivers operating high-powered vehicles without adequate technical skills and maturity. The event, attended by thousands of activists, took place near the site of the future Burn Hospital in Kilamba Centrality in honor of the MPLA's 69th anniversary.
