Luanda: President of the Republic, Joo Louren§o, expressed deep regret on Sunday for the death of 13 citizens and the injury of 15 others following a road accident in Chinguar, Bi© province.
According to Angola Press News Agency, a condolence note from the Press Services of the Presidency highlighted the President's sorrow over this tragedy on national roads. The accident follows another recent incident in Serra da Leba, Hula province. The President's message conveyed the shock and sorrow felt by the nation due to these back-to-back accidents.
President Louren§o extended his deepest condolences on behalf of the Executive and himself to the families who lost loved ones. He also expressed wishes for a swift and complete recovery for those injured in the accident. The President emphasized that the Executive will continue to support the victims to help them return to their families and normal routines as soon as possible.
Local authorities are actively engaged in rescue operations, identifying victims, and providing medical support to the injured. Investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the accident.
