Ricardo Jorge Triumphs at Cabinda International Motocross Grand Prix

Cabinda: Pilot Ricardo Jorge, representing the Francisco Amado Jhon (FAJ) team from Cabinda province, claimed victory at the Cabinda International Motocross Grand Prix on Saturday. The event was part of the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the city, which was commemorated on May 28th.

According to Angola Press News Agency, Ricardo Jorge dominated the competition by winning all three heats, accumulating a total of 60 points and leaving no opportunity for his main rivals. Following him, Pilot Humba Carlos from the Mercen¡rios de Luanda team secured second place with 50 points, while his teammate Augusto Congo finished in third place with 45 points.

The race took place at the Joo Tom© track and featured nine competitors, including four from Cabinda province and five from Luanda. Notably absent this year were the pilots from the Republic of Congo, who are regular participants in this event, reportedly due to bureaucratic challenges.

Municipal administrator of Cabinda, Lu­s Avelino Yebo, praised the participants for honoring the event. He also announced plans for more motocross races throughout the year, ensuring continued excitement for motorsport enthusiasts in the region.
