Cuanza Norte Expo-2026 Generates Over 850 Million Kwanzas in Business Turnover

Ndalatando: The Cuanza-Norte Business Fair, held from May 29th to 31st, achieved a significant business volume estimated at over 850 million kwanzas. According to Angola Press News Agency, the event's organizing company coordinator, Carlos Calas, stated that the revenue stemmed from the rental of exhibition spaces to participating companies and other supplementary services. This edition of the fair saw the registration of 215 companies, predominantly from sectors such as agriculture, machinery, technology, commerce, catering, hospitality, handicrafts, health, resource exploitation, and service provision. Carlos Calas highlighted the participation of 17 municipal administrations from Cuanza-Norte, along with entrepreneurs from Luanda, Bengo, Malanje, Uige, Namibe, Cuanza Sul, and Luanda Norte, as well as investors from China. He noted that the event facilitated the creation of 400 direct and 200 indirect jobs over the three-day period, marking a significant contribution to the local economy and impacting the lives of many families. The official also remarked on the substantial public interest, with daily visitor numbers exceeding 10,000. Carlos Calas emphasized the Provincial Government's dedication to organizing the 8th Edition of Expo/Cuanza Norte 2026, which aims to attract investments to bolster the economy and drive local development. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of recognition to various entities contributing to the province's development and awards to exhibitors who excelled during the fair. The exhibition coincided with Ndalatando's 70th anniversary celebrations on May 28th, featuring various sporting, cultural, and socio-economic activities.
