Dundo – Sagrada Esperança and 1 de Agosto played to a goalless draw for 15th round of the National First Division Football Championship “Girabola2021-22” and both teams finished the first round in second and third position with 37 and 31 points respectively.
Played under heavy rain, the two teams did not display attractive football. Only in the first half there were two goal opportunities from1º de Agosto.
Speaking in a post-match press conference, 1º de Agosto assistant coach Filipe Nzanza, said it was a fair result, considering the performance of both teams.
In turn, the member of the coaching staff of Sagrada Esperança, Guedes, stressed that the rain contributed to a negative performance of his team and expressed dissatisfaction with the result.
Petro de Luanda lead the championship with 38 points. Kabuscorp do Palanca, Progresso do Sambizanga and Sporting de Benguela, are the last three ranked with 14, six and two points, respectively.
