Senegalese president ends visit to Angola

Luanda – The President of Republic of Senegal Macky Sall left Luanda Thursday after a three-day state visit to Angola, at the invitation of his counterpart João Lourenço.

In the Angolan capital, the Senegalese statesman met with the Angolan President, João Lourenço.

Macky Sall also participated in a solemn plenary meeting of the National Assembly, convened in his honour.

The two Heads of State presided over the official Angola/Senegal conversions that culminated in the signing of cooperation agreements in the fields of oil, trade and tourism.

The Senegalese Head of State also visited the Dr. António Agostinho Neto, where he laid a wreath on the sarcophagus of the first President of Angola and Founder of the Nation.

The Republic of Senegal, which has the fourth largest economy in its region, is part of the Economic Community of West African States and is also a member of the African Union and the Community of Sahel-Sahara States, among other organisations.
