Senegalese president Macky Sall arrives at Palace

Luanda – Senegal’s president Macky Sall arrived Wednesday morning at the Presidential Palace in Luanda, where he will discuss with his Angolan counterpart João Lourenço the state of cooperation between the two countries.

After reviewing a military parade, the two Statesmen were to meet in private.

According to the programme, reached ANGOP Wednesday, João Lourenço and Macky Sall will lead the two countries’ delegations to official conversions.

The agenda covers signing of agreements for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments, and in the fields of oil and energy.

Shortly before meeting with his Angolan counterpart, the also acting President of the African Union, paid tribute to the first President of Angola, António Agostinho Neto, who died on 10 September 1979.

He placed a wreath in the sarcophagus containing the remains of António Agostinho Neto.

Still today (Wednesday), Macky Sall is due to address an Extraordinary Session in the National Assembly.

The Senegalese Head of State arrived in Luanda on Tuesday, for a 72-hour State visit to the country, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, João Lourenço.
