Panguila:Industrial manufacturer Sino Ord is aiming to retain its title as the top exhibitor at Expo Bengo 2026, utilizing the event to highlight its industrial park and forge new commercial partnerships.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Sino Ord, which earned top honors at the inaugural 2025 event, is among over 600 exhibitors expected at this year's fair. The event, scheduled for October 8-11, will operate under the theme "Producing and Transforming for the Development of the Local Economy."
Melvir Gonçalves, Sino Ord's foreign relations assistant, expressed optimism about repeating last year's success. He noted the importance of the four-day event in promoting local manufacturing, fostering regional business connections, and unlocking new market opportunities.
Other business leaders, such as José Serra, CEO of Serra and Coelho, also recognize the significance of the expo. Serra emphasized that trade fairs are crucial for linking producers with consumers and acquiring new clients. His company plans to introduce a new line of large-scale electrical panel assembly during the event, targeting industrial, residential, and commercial sectors.
Serra also reflected on 2026 as the company's most prosperous year, with a revenue increase of approximately 50%. He attributed this success to government policies safeguarding national production, particularly import restrictions on competing goods. Nonetheless, he pointed out that infrastructure issues, such as the lack of grid electricity at his facility, limit the company's growth and export potential.
Expo Bengo seeks to showcase the economic prospects of the province and promote collaborations and supply chain connections among local and national businesses.
