Tapoa Province Leads Eastern Region in Primary School Certificate Success

Gourma: The Eastern region has achieved a success rate of 92.25% for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) for the 2025 session.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the regional director in charge of Primary Education in Gourma, Yent©ma David Thiombiano, has announced that out of the five provinces in the region, Tapoa ranks first.

For the 2025 session, the Eastern region recorded 9,879 admissions, including 4,624 boys and 5,255 girls. This achievement represents a success rate of 92.25% for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) for the 2025 session.

Yent©ma David Thiombiano highlighted that the Eastern region surpassed its previous record for the 2024 session, which was 84.15%. He pointed out that the province of Tapoa occupies the first place in the region out of five, with 754 candidates admitted out of 779, representing a success rate of 96.79%.

Mr. Thiombiano commended all the participants for their resilience, sense of patriotism, and dedication shown during this school examination.
