Luanda- General Tax Administration (AGT) has announced plans to come up with a proposal on maintaining the diploma on self-billing invoice, which was in force until December 31, 2022.
AGT CEO, José Leiria, announced the ongoing work on the study of impact to determine how the Presidential Decree n.° 194/20, of July 24th on self-billing, can be adjusted.
“We are working on the document. And our proposal is that, in essence, the document remains in place. We are now finishing the study on the impact to see to what extent it will be adjusted”, said José Leiria.
He stressed that the vision is to present a proposal in order to keep the diploma still in force
José Leiria was answering Tuesday the concerns raised by some MPs from the Fifth Commission on Economy and Finance of the National Assembly, who met with heads of ministerial departments.
The new regime of Self-Billing defines new rules applicable to the issuance of invoices / receipts by the purchasers of goods and services, replacing its suppliers, goods suppliers or service providers.
Entities with tax residency in Angola, which have organised accounting and who, in the exercise of economic activities, acquire, in the national territory, products from the sectors of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, apiculture, poultry, fisheries, livestock and others, as well as in purchase of any service;
The diploma is only applicable in cases where the transfer of goods or provision of services is carried out by natural persons without the capacity to issue invoices or equivalent documents.
