Trade Between Angola and China Estimated at US$20 Billion in 2025

Luanda: The volume of trade between Angola and China was valued at around 20 billion US dollars, during the year 2025, the president of Chamber of Commerce, Luís Cupenala, said on Wednesday, in Luanda. According to Angola Press News Agency, in the same period, the investment stock exceeded US$ 27 billion, a historic milestone. The president of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce was speaking at a lecture on "migration and inspection procedures," held in partnership with the Immigration and Foreigners Service (SME). He said that these numbers reflect the continuous strengthening of cooperation between the two countries. Therefore, the official highlighted China's strategic role as a key economic partner for Angola. Luís Cupenala emphasized that China maintains its position as a credible partner, supported by a robust industrial base and estimated economic growth of around 5 percent in 2025, which raised its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to approximately 25 billion dollars. In the African context, he noted, Angola is reinforcing its relevance, positioning itself as China's second largest trading partner on the continent. The lecture was attended by several figures from the Immigration and Foreigners Service and the Sino-Angolan business community.
