Angolan Youth in Cabinda Await Messages of Peace and World Stability from Pope Leo XIV

Cabinda: The Angolan young people in northern Cabinda province expect to hear from Pope Leo XIV, who will visit Angola in April, messages of peace maintenance and political stability on the African continent and in the world.

According to Angola Press News Agency, those interviewed expressed concern about the resurgence of armed conflicts on the African continent, in Europe, and in the Middle East, and therefore expect the Holy Father to deliver speeches of harmony and reconciliation between the warring nations.

For student Pedro Francisco, the countries of the African continent and the world, in general, should think about the development of nations for the well-being of their inhabitants, refraining from wars that only bring misfortune and delay social and economic growth.

Artur Comundedi, also a student, said he hopes the Pope will pray for an end to the conflicts in the Middle East, in Europe, and in some African countries and appeal to their leaders to embrace the path of peace and social stability.

In turn, Jos© Pascoal said that Pope Leo XIV's visit to Angola will further enhance the country's image abroad, an opinion shared by businesswoman Dam¡lia Tonha.

Pope Leo XIV will visit Angola from April 18 to 21, 2026, with confirmed stops in Luanda, Muxima, and Saurimo.
