Two men died in a tragic road accident near Marindi trading center along the Rongo-Homa Bay Monday morning. According to the Assistant Chief of Kogola Kogwang South Sub location Philemon Otieno a motorcycle traveling from Homa Bay towards Rongo lost control and collided with a lorry carrying cement. The motorcycle, with registration number KMEA 077V, developed a tyre puncture just a few meters past Marindi, causing the rider to lose control. The impact of the collision resulted in the deaths of both the motorcyclist and his passenger. The driver of the lorry, with registration number KDB 988C, was fortunately unharmed. Traffic police arrived at the scene and transported the bodies of the deceased to the Homa Bay Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary.
