Luanda: More than 100 companies with the "Made in Angola" seal have benefited from a significant reduction in participation fees for the 17th U.S.-Africa Summit. These companies will pay only $200, a reduction from the standard fee of $1,000, as reported by ANGOP on Monday.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Braulio Augusto, chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Institute for Support to Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), stated that the institution is committed to providing benefits for companies from various sectors at such events. He emphasized the importance of these platforms in showcasing national business capabilities and fostering greater visibility.
Braulio Augusto expressed optimism that entrepreneurs participating in the summit will leverage the opportunities to demonstrate their potential and explore possible partnerships. The summit, themed "Paths to Prosperity," is expected to attract around 3,000 participants, including business leaders and government officials. Discussions will focus on key issues affecting African countries, such as agriculture, infrastructure, electricity, and health.
The event is organized by the Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) in collaboration with the Government of Angola, coinciding with the celebration of 50 years of national independence. CCA is dedicated to fostering business relationships between the United States and Africa.
The previous summit was held from May 6 to 9, 2024, in Dallas, USA, under the theme "USA-Business in Africa: Partnerships for Sustainable Success."
