Malanje: The president of UNITA, Angola’s main opposition party, Adalberto Costa Júnior, emphasized the importance of governance of proximity as an effective strategy for addressing and resolving the issues faced by the country’s population.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the UNITA leader, who was traveling through Malanje en route to Luanda following a political trip to the eastern regions of Angola, highlighted that without a close connection to the populace, understanding and addressing their difficulties becomes challenging.
During an engagement with party activists, Costa Júnior underscored the necessity of involving traditional authorities in identifying social issues within communities. He pointed out that these authorities maintain close contact with residents, thereby playing a crucial role in recognizing and responding to local problems.

nation needs to embrace.
