Luanda: UNITA secretary in Huambo province, Armando Manuel Kaquepa, has acknowledged the local government's dedication to the requalification and modernization projects in the city.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Kaquepa expressed his appreciation during a press conference held on Wednesday, highlighting the visible presence of construction efforts throughout Huambo. Men and machinery are actively engaged in refurbishing the city's streets, particularly focusing on the interior areas of Huambo.
Kaquepa emphasized significant infrastructure projects, such as the construction, expansion, and upgrading of the Benfica/Chipipa (EN - nº100) and So Joo/Cambiote (EN - nº 250) sections. These developments are primarily aimed at enhancing the free movement of people and goods within the region.
"When a job is well done for the common good, even if it is performed by your rival, it should be praised," Kaquepa stated, underscoring the importance of recognizing efforts that benefit the broader community.
He further explained that such recognition serves as motivation for continuous efforts in reducing inequalities through comprehensive requalification and modernization of all municipal headquarters.
Kaquepa also emphasized the necessity for the Huambo Government to persist in expanding BUAP (Unofficial Electoral Registration Office) posts across the 17 municipalities and in remote areas. This expansion is crucial for expediting the process of updating the Unofficial Electoral Register and ensuring Proof of Life.
