Venezuelan Ambassador highlights role of solidarity

Huambo – Ambassador of Venezuela to Angola Marlon Labrador said Friday in central Huambo province that the solidarity, friendship and empathy between peoples are the main ways to solve humankind issues.

The diplomat, who was speaking at the conference on “Friendship and Solidarity”, promoted by the Angolan League of Friendship and Solidarity with the Peoples (LAASP), said that solidarity actions help to overcome the present and future challenges, by encouraging the humanitarian spirit.

He said that it is through friendship and solidarity between peoples that it is possible to overcome current and future barriers and challenges, where empathy with others makes it possible to aspire to a new global society, whose values are reflected in examples of humanity.

According to Marlon Labrador, “we live in difficult times, where the predominant capitalist system is incapable of solving the great problems of humanity, with the various interests threatening global peace and the balance of nature”.

Therefore, he called for the recognition and complaint of all practices that contribute to the world’s inhumanity.

Venezuelan diplomacy

The ambassador said that Venezuela’s diplomacy in the world and in Angola, in particular, is centered on actions that promote solidarity among peoples, through the Simão Boliva Institute for Peace and Solidarity (ISBP), which has, in other activities, supported issues linked to natural disasters.

“Bolivarian peace diplomacy and internationalist solidarity are some of the tools that Hugo Chávez, the 56th President of Venezuela, left to the Venezuelan people to face the new era of transition from a discriminatory economic model to a social model of fair and balanced development, whose scope is more and more urgent”, he said.

In turn, the governor of the province of Huambo, Lotti Nolika, highlighted LAASP’s effort and dedication to promoting solidarity ties, cooperation and friendship with all the peoples of the world, in particular Venezuela.
