World Bank Invests 100 Million Kwanzas in Renovation of Cuito Land Registry

Luanda: The World Bank will invest one hundred million kwanzas in renovating the Cuito Land Registry Office in Bi© province. Pedro Marcelino, coordinator of the World Bank's "Diversify More" project, stated at the contract award ceremony that the institution's renovation is aimed at improving services provided to citizens as well as enhancing staff accommodation.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the goal is also to improve the business environment in the provinces that make up the Lobito corridor. This effort is part of the project to accelerate economic diversification and job creation in the region. Following the renovation, the World Bank will also finance the provision of furniture and IT equipment, as noted by the coordinator of the "Diversify More" project.

In turn, Liayuca Chivala, head of the company in charge of the "LN and LL" project, assured compliance with the four-month deadlines stipulated in the contract.
