Luanda: A 32-year-old citizen was apprehended by the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC) in the Cangambo neighborhood of Malanje province, accused of sexually abusing his 13-year-old stepdaughter. The arrest took place during the week, following disturbing allegations of repeated abuse.
According to Angola Press News Agency, SIC spokesperson Alexandre Cambolo disclosed that the suspect had been exploiting the minor since she was 6 years old. The stepfather allegedly manipulated the girl by promising digital devices and other items in exchange for her silence, while also threatening to expel her from the home if she reported the incidents.
The minor's mother, upon discovering the abuse, reached out to SIC, leading to the arrest of the suspect. He has been handed over to the public prosecutor's office for further investigation.
