Luanda: The National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises launched a training program this Monday in Luanda for 1,500 young creative entrepreneurs. This initiative, part of the RECRIA project, seeks to convert artistic and digital talents into viable businesses.

According to Angola Press News Agency, the project results from extensive mapping of cultural and creative industries by the Angolan Government from 2018 to 2022. It is funded by the National Employment Support Fund (FUNEA) and targets young individuals from Luanda, Huambo, Namibe, and Luanda-Norte provinces, with training extending until July 13.

In its initial phase, the program focuses on training young people from Luanda, with subsequent sessions planned for participants from Huambo, Namibe, and Lunda-Norte. At the course's inauguration, Igor Chaves, the manager of the RECRIA project, highlighted that the participants would receive training in diverse fields such as music, content and software creation, theater, fashion, cooking, and tourism.

Chaves also noted that after completing the training, the entrepreneurs would receive funding and kits relevant to their respective training areas. He emphasized RECRIA's vital role in promoting structured business models within the creative industry, thereby diversifying the national economy and increasing job opportunities for the youth.

Throughout the training, participants will explore topics like "Business Formalization," "Management and Knowledge of the Creative Industry," "Company Formation," "Intellectual Property," and "Finance."
