Huambo – Petro do Huambo, leader of the first edition of the senior men’s provincial second division football championship played to a goalless draw with 11 Bravos do Calundo in the resumption of the competition, which was interrupted due to Covid-19.
The competition had been interrupted since December 2021 by the Presidential Decree, which prohibited sporting events due to the worsening of cases of contamination by Covid-19.
Petro do Huambo remain the sole leader of the competition with 23 points, while 11 Bravos do Calundo totals 17 points in second place.
The 9th round of the competition held Monday was marked by the victory of Recreativo do Sassonde against Recreativo do Bailundo by 5-3.
In other matches, Desportivo da Calomanda beat 10 de Dezembro 1-0, while CPC FC Huambo beat Mauritânia FC Mungo.
The matches between Recreativo do Lossambo X Região Militar Centro (RMC) and Deolinda Rodrigues X JGM do Huambo take place Wednesday.
