Legacy, Storytelling and Community: How INVNT.ATOM™, [INVNT GROUP]’s digital innovation agency, transformed Automobili Lamborghini’s global brand footprint with its Web3 initiatives

INVNT.ATOM collaborated with the legendary automotive brand to launch two successful Web3 campaigns across 12 months, invigorating the iconic brand’s leadership in innovation, art and design.

Singapore, June 28, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Across 2022 and 2023, INVNT.ATOM™, [INVNT GROUP]™’s digital and Web3 Innovation division delivered two historic NFT campaigns in collaboration with Automobili Lamborghini, as the legacy super sportscar leader celebrated their 60th anniversary and entered its hybrid era.

With global features in media outlets such as Forbes, Fast Company, Be in Crypto, and an announcement from Lamborghini’s CEO Steve Winkelmann that Lamborghini’s sports cars are sold out until 2024, [INVNT GROUP] has concluded two back to back campaigns in partnership with Automobili Lamborghini.

‘Lamborghini Ultimate’ a world first 1:1 NFT & The Last Aventador Coupé in collaboration with contemporary artist Krista Kim and Grammy award winning artist Steve Aoki, and most recently “The Epic Road Trip”, an 8-month Web3 initiative with utilities which cultivated a community of global Web3 loyalists around the world. The conclusion of “The Epic Road Trip” marked the brand’s 60th anniversary where the Italian marque revealed the “Revuelto”, the brand’s first dual-powertrain supercar – continuing their commitment to a more sustainable future.

Lamborghini was the first super sports car  brand to enter the world of digital collectibles, with their release of digital bitstamps in 2020. In partnership with [INVNT GROUP], two major Web3 initiatives have followed suit, cultivating a new community of a younger tech audience, and established loyalists to mark the hybrid era, as the brand races towards complete electrification by 2030.

[INVNT GROUP] partnered with Steve Aoki and Krista Kim to create an audiovisual collaboration which saw the creation of the world’s first 1:1 NFT supercar, auctioning off the physical version of the last ever Aventador Coupe with auction house RM Sotheby’s. The NFT paired with the physical sports car sold at an auction price of $1.6M, placing the purchase price in the top 10 new Lamborghinis ever sold.

On the back of the global success and impact of“Lamborghini Ultimate” Lamborghini continued their partnership with [INVNT GROUP] with the launch of “The Epic Road Trip”. This 8-month long campaign showcased monthly prizes and NFT reveals, concluding in a global celebration of the brand’s 60th anniversary and the ultimate reveal of the Revuelto. The consequential results of “The Epic Road Trip ” showcased a nod to the brand’s transformation, with 10.5x campaign ROI. Collectively, both campaigns have garnered 1.8 billion global editorial media impressions, across 2.4K featured editorial placements, totalling over $17.3M USD of advertising value.

“These results demonstrate how incredibly powerful leveraging Web3 is in any modern marketing strategy,” says Scott Cullather,  President & CEO of [INVNT GROUP], and CEO of INVNT.ATOM, “These are highly engaged, hands-on collectors with a passion for the Lamborghini brand. By focusing on a curated group of brand loyalists, Lamborghini was able to both deepen its connection with its biggest fans while also welcoming new people to be a part of its timeless heritage and future. As an ultra-luxury brand that sold just 9,233 vehicles in 2022, every boost in purchase intent is worth millions.”

“Lamborghini is an aspirational brand, and Web3 is a bridge to people that are dreaming Lamborghini, but also for people that are not familiar with the brand and more familiar with art, design and NFTs. It’s an example of how art and design are connected to our brand. And the good thing is that with the NFTs we’re able to make sure that this dream is also in the reach for the fan,” said Christian Maestro, Marketing Director of Automobili Lamborghini, in Carly Reilly’s Overpriced JPEGS Podcast Series with Scott Cullather.

As the brand continues its journey towards complete hybridization of its lineup by 2025, expect further experimentation at the leading edge of community, blockchain and utility.

Driven by [INVNT GROUP]’s “Challenge Everything” mantra backed by world-class storytelling, both campaigns immersed the legacy brand into the world of Web3, whilst also adopting elements of the physical world into the journey. The phygital experiences, told a tale of brand transformation, as Lamborghini fans are given brand new avenues to engage with the legacy brand into the future.

Happy Seychelles National Day: Celebrating 47 years of independence

Seychelles’ President Wavel Ramkalawan wishes a Happy National Day to all Seychellois citizens as the island nation celebrates 47 years of its independence on Thursday, June 29.

Ramkalawan said in his message that “47 years in the life of a country earns us the classification of a young nation. We are still taking note of all that surrounds us, we are planning, aspiring and formulating the ideas that we hope will make us stand strong and truly breathe that pride as one people.”

He said that as a young nation, “we will make mistakes, but that’s not what counts. What is important is that when we fall, we find the courage to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and renew that determination to move forward. This is the Seychellois Creole spirit flowing in the veins of every Seychellois and that we also want to share with everyone we meet.”

In his message, Ramkalawan said that the government is working really hard to establish the appropriate infrastructure in the country and announced the building of a new modern hospital at Mont Fleuri and that details would be provided later.

“We estimate that such a project can cost at least SCR 1 billion rupees ($74.5 million). I am launching an appeal, like when the first Victoria/Seychelles Hospital was built, for all of us to make a contribution. I invite all schools, workplaces, and all Seychellois to put boxes where people will be able to contribute, cent by cent. An account will be opened for this project and all the details will be furnished. If all goes well, we will be able to start this construction in 2024,” he said.

Two other large projects that the government is already working on are a new airport and a new port and plans are already being made and appropriate funding is being sought.

“Seychellois sisters and brothers, today let us continue to celebrate our achievements. Let us, each one of us, find out what more we can do for our beautiful Seychelles,” said Ramkalawan.

Patrick Hermine, the president of the main opposition party – United Seychelles – also wished the people of Seychelles a blessed and wonderful Independence Day.

In his message, Herminie said, “If today we are proud as a Nation, we must give credit to those brave and bold enough to fight for Independence.”

“As we celebrate our 47th anniversary and joyously sing our patriotic songs, no matter our ideology or beliefs, let us remember and reflect on how this multi-cultural nation has moved from bondage of slavery from the start of its existence to liberty and freedom of choice today,” he added.

Herminie said that Seychellois citizens should never be complacent and should ensure that “we continue to maintain our independence from any outside influence and that we forge ahead with the success of all our people in mind “lest we forget” the lessons of the past.”

Happy National Day wishes also came from the secretary general of the ruling Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) party, Gervais Henrie.

“With a new government leading Seychelles since October 2020, we have been given a new opportunity to restart – to avoid past mistakes and build on the good elements in us as a Creole nation,” he said in his message.

Henrie added that “even when it is not easy to accomplish all, LDS remains determined to lead Seychelles on a new road where we become a working nation. One that obeys the law, proud of its culture and identity, and believes in the principles of democracy.”

A former President of Seychelles, James Michel, also wished all Seychellois a Happy National Day.

“Seychelles has grown and matured into a proud nation, standing tall alongside other successful countries. In such a short time, we have managed to make significant progress on all fronts. Our country and accomplishments are highly regarded and valued across the globe. It is reason enough to be proud indeed,” said Michel.

“As we celebrate this Independence Day anniversary, let us remember the many people who fought hard for our political and economic freedom. Our celebration of nationhood should also be a time for serious reflection on the people we have become and our aspirations for our children and generations to come,” he added.

Colours of a young nation shine in Seychelles National Day Parade

A military parade highlighting the Seychelles National Day celebrated on June 29, the day the island nation got its independence in 1976 from Britain, took place on Friday.

This year’s special guest at the ceremony was the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame, and First Lady Jeanette Kagame. President Kagame is on a state visit to Seychelles from June 28 to July 2.

For the second time in a row, the Seychelles’ beautiful capital of Victoria, hosted the prestigious event to mark 47 years since the island nation got its independence.

This year the Seychelles’ National Anthem was played by the National Band and 50 youth accompanied by a 21-gun salute.

Following the arrival of the guest of honour, President Kagame, and the President of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, the parade started marching from Palm Street.

Once again, the parade, which for many years marched on the tracks of the stadium ‘Stad Linite’, made its way to the centre of Seychelles’ capital Victoria at the Unity Monument, to be greeted by cheering crowds with waving flags.

The customary Military Parade had 23 platoons of the Seychelles Police Force, the Seychelles Fire and Rescue Services Agency and youth organisations falling under the Seychelles National Youth Council. The parade also included platoons from foreign military forces, namely the United Kingdom, the Indian Navy, and the Reunion-based Armed Forces in the Southern Indian Ocean (FAZSOI).

The platoons marched along Constitution Avenue passing in front of the ‘Lavwa Lanasyon’ [Voice of the Nation] monument and proceeded towards Liberty Monument. After saluting the President, the platoons marched up to the International Conference Centre (ICCS) car park.

As part of the celebration, there a performance of well-known veteran Seychellois artist John Wirtz with his ever-popular song ‘Desann pou Lendepandans’ [Come down for the Independence].

In addition, this year, there were floats from 25 districts showing off aspects of their rich history and culture in a display of colours and vibrancy.

The ceremony ended with a performance of the Moutya, a Seychelles traditional dance added to UNESCO’s list of intangible heritage in December 2021.

Modern Incinerator Enhances Management Of Hazardous Health Care Waste

The installation of a modern incinerator at the Naivasha level IV hospital has revolutionized and enhanced efficiency in the handling and management of hazardous and general healthcare waste.

According to a World Health Organization [WHO] Report of 2018, 15 percent of healthcare waste collected worldwide is considered hazardous material which is either infectious, toxic, or radioactive.

WHO indicates that an estimated 16 billion injections are administered worldwide but not all the needles and syringes used are properly disposed off after use.

The data also shows that low-income countries such as Kenya generate an average of 0.2 kg of hazardous waste per hospital per day but lack adequate capacity and requisite equipment to handle it.

The organization says that proper measures to ensure safe and environmentally sound management of healthcare wastes can prevent adverse health and environmental impacts.

Informed of these concerns, the Government, last year, partnered with United Nations Development Programme [UNDP] to equip the Naivasha level IV Hospital with an Shs.30 million incinerator and waste-handling truck to boost medical waste management.

An incinerator is defined as an enclosed structure used for burning and reducing the volume of waste under controlled temperatures of over 800 degrees Celsius.

It has an in-built filtration system to treat outgoing gasses from burned materials to ensure the air released surpasses strict environmental guidelines and international emissions standards.

And living up to its billing, the installed incinerator has in one year’s period significantly enabled the hospital to properly handle and manage both its generated medical waste and of other surrounding health facilities.

According to Victor Keraa, a Public Health Officer at the facility, the modern incinerator has enhanced the efficiency of managing highly infectious medical waste and curbed the spilling of hazardous materials into the environment.

‘The incinerator burns over 400 kilograms of medical waste generated by the hospital and from other healthcare facilities daily, producing an ash load of only 4kgs’, said Keraa.

Keraa said that the waste is first properly segregated at its production units and packed in secure bags marked in different color codes ranging from yellow for infectious waste, red for highly infectious waste, and yellow with black labels for radioactive waste.

The sorted waste is then transported using a safety truck to the microwave incinerator machine where the waste is burned in a closed compartment at high temperatures to ash.

Kerra said the hospital handles wastes from other surrounding public health facilities for free while the privately run entities are charged Sh 200 per kg of waste.

In addition, he said that syringes pose the greatest health risk if not properly handled with early studies from WHO showing that new HIV and Hepatitis B and C infections have been passed through unsafe injections.

According to the National Environment Management Authority, [NEMA] guidelines on medical waste management, all waste producers are legally and financially responsible for the safe handling and environmentally sound disposal of such waste.

NEMA also recommends for treatment and disposal of hazardous waste near the point of production to minimize risks involved in transport while calling for caution from waste handlers.

On his part, the hospital Bio-medical Engineer George Maina, the incinerator has cut transport costs drastically and enabled timely management of hazardous waste management.

Maina said the hospital used to incur Shs.32, 000 on costs every week, transporting the waste to Nakuru, a process which put waste handlers to risk of contamination in case of leakages.

‘An incinerator is a crucial component in a health facility as it helps to manage huge volumes of hazardous waste on time and avoid spillages to the environment’, said Maina.

He said the air released to the environment after burning the waste is environmentally friendly therefore minimizing the carbon footprints in the environment and, therefore contributing to climate change mitigation.

Maina said the two workers who man and operate the facility are highly trained in the proper handling of waste management and have been equipped with proper health and safety gear.

This ambitious initiative is a key contributor to the government’s commitment to the reduction of pollution from various sources to the environment geared towards reversing the threats of climate change.

Kenya is already a signatory to the United Nations Convention on Environment and the Paris Agreement which commits and binds nations to change tact, innovate and put systems to limit global warming.
