The Malian beach basketball team (women), on Wednesday afternoon, qualified for the semifinals of the discipline at the African Beach Games in Hammamet, June 23 to 30, after defeating Kenya 21-14. The Malian side dominated all along, closing the game before the end of regular time, by reaching the winning 21st point, against 14 of their opponents. Mali had swept over Benin at game-1 of the competition earlier in the afternoon. Group 2 involves Mali, Benin, and Kenya. The first trio of each group qualify for the semifinals, while the seconds and thirds of each group clash to determine the 2 remaining semifinalists.
