Mbanza kongo: At least 150 exhibitors are participating in an agricultural and business fair held in Mbanza Kongo, Angolan northern province of Zaire, as part of the celebrations marking the 9th anniversary of the city's designation as a World Heritage Site.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the fair spans three days and brings together exhibitors from municipalities across Zaire and the provinces of Bengo, Luanda, Benguela, and Hula. The event, organized by the Mbanza Kongo Municipal Administration, provides a platform for showcasing a range of agricultural products and manufactured goods.
During the opening of the fair, Municipal Administrator Zolana Avelino encouraged participants to take advantage of the event to demonstrate their capabilities and form business partnerships. Event coordinator Sebastio Teyekengue highlighted that services related to education, commerce, and health sectors are also on display, alongside agricultural products.
Teyekengue further stated that the event aims to generate a business volume exceeding 67 million kwanzas over the three-day period. The city of Mbanza Kongo was officially designated as a World Heritage Site on July 8, 2017.
