Angola committed to strengthened relations with US

Luanda – Angola reiterated Monday commitment to deepen its relations with the United States, as part of the existing bilateral cooperation between the countries.

In a congratulatory message to his US counterpart, on the occasion of another anniversary of the independence of the USA, Angolan President João Lourenço highlighted the “pivotal role” of the two countries in building a future of prosperity, understanding and harmony among the peoples of the planet.

“I believe that addressing at the highest level aspects of our bilateral relations will help deepen and solidify the foundations on which the entire architecture of cooperation between our countries will be based,” the document reads.

In the message, President Lourenço congratulates his counterpart, Joe Biden, the people and the government of the United States of America, on the celebration of another anniversary of the Independence Day of the United States.

On this significant date for the history of the United States of America, I take this opportunity to salute the creative dynamism of its people, which gives its country an outstanding place in the concert of nations.

Finally, the Angolan Head of State wishes his personal well-being, good health and prosperity to the people of the United States of America.

The United States of America celebrates 246 years of independence today, July 4.
