Luanda: The Angola Investment Summit kicks off on Thursday, in Luanda, aiming to mobilize financing for Angola and the continent's tourist sector in general. According to Angola Press News Agency, the event, taking place on the 18th and 19th under the theme "Shaping the Future of Tourism in Emerging Destinations," brings together over a thousand delegates, including government leaders, investors, financial institutions, experts, businesspeople, and representatives from international organizations from various regions of the world. The summit is organized by the Government of Angola in partnership with the Global Tourism Forum Institute (GTFI), one of the most prestigious international platforms for promoting tourism investment and development. Over the course of two days, the Angolan capital will serve as the primary African stage for discussions on investment, economic development, tourism, innovation, and international cooperation. According to the organizers, the summit comes at a particularly significa nt moment for Angola's international profile and for establishing tourism as a strategic sector in the country's economic diversification. The opening ceremony will be graced by the presence of the President of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, who is in Angola since Wednesday for a visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
